In addition, on July 23, 2015, the City Council adopted the Special Regulations for Neighborhood Recovery, a text amendment intended to accelerate recovery in Sandy-impacted neighborhoods, by simplifying the process for documenting the condition of existing buildings, and by establishing a new zoning envelope on small lots for homes that need to be reconstructed.
